Diann Marlene Ribar passed away on July 1, 2026 in Bainbridge, Georgia at the age of 68. The oldest daughter of six siblings, she was born on September 25, 1957 to Bernerd Cole and Juanita Carver. Originally from Arcata, California, Diann grew up among the redwoods and graduated from McKinleyville High School. She spent much of her adult life in Austin, Texas, where she married Bill Ribar and built a family, raising their five children together.
Diann was preceded in death by her father, Bernerd Cole; her mother, Juanita Carver; her brother, Kenneth Cole; her sister, Beth Cole; and Bill Ribar, with whom she shared five children.
She is survived by her children: Clesha Ward and her husband, Josh, and their children, Georgia, Garrett, Colby, and Brooks; Magan Miller and her husband, Barret, and their children, Braden and Kaylie; Sarah Remington and her husband, Christopher, and their children, Cooper and Lainey; Alex Ribar and his wife, Janette; and Taylor Ribar, Keith Laue, and their daughter, Lily. She is also survived by her sisters, Lynne Neenan and her husband, Tom; Ruth Cole; and Vickie Hernandez and her husband, Roman, as well as her beloved Aunt Shirley and extended family in Tennessee.
May she rest in peace. Her family will gather privately to remember Diann’s life. Those who knew and loved Diann are invited to share their memories as a tribute to her life and legacy.
