David Andre Campbell was born November 30, 1947, in Elkins, West Virginia, the son of Kathleen Rodgers Campbell and Richard Lyle Campbell. His father was in the military, so David lived in many, many places while growing up, including Texas, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Georgia. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and served one tour in Vietnam. After his tour of duty, he returned to the states and made his home in California. There he found the job he loved when he joined the Douwe Egbert Coffee Company where he excelled as a gifted sales representative. David marketed and sold coffee and equipment to large hotels, hospitals, casinos, sporting events, and venues, including the annual golf tournament at Pebble Beach.

David had opportunities to learn more about the coffee process from the growing plantations in Hawaii to the roasting and packaging process. He traveled to Hawaii several times as a reward for outstanding sales performance. David was a coffee connoisseur. He could tell you anything you wanted to know about what it takes to make good coffee or how to make bad coffee better. Later, he enjoyed marketing for Sarah Lee Corporation after their merger with Douwe Egbert.

David loved riding his motorcycle, riding his Harley coast to coast twice. He loved to ride with friends and family, sometimes camping along the way. He and his motorcycle friends were proud to serve as Patriot Guard Riders.

In 2005, David moved back to Georgia to be closer to his older brother, Joe. In Bainbridge he met Barbara and, as they say, the rest is history. David and Barbara have been blessed with many years together. They enjoyed RV camping and traveling to parts of the Western States as well as going to their North Georgia mountain home. David adored animals and always had dogs and cats to love. David deeply loved his family and was a generous, giving person. He served the country he loved honorably and cared for those he loved deeply. He will be sorely missed.David Campbell is survived by his wife, Barbara Campbell of Bainbridge; son, Michael Tipton (Skooter) of Orlando, Florida; sister, Lisa Jenks (Walton) of Griffin, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Jessica Blish (Brian) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jordon Jenks (Carrie) of Milner, Georgia; and Maegan Lutz (Craig) of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, and sister-in-law, Camilla Anne Campbell of Leesburg, Georgia.
