Gary Collins of Attapulgus, Georgia, passed peacefully September 1, 2026 at his home.
Gary was born September 17, 1964, in Atlanta Georgia. Gary was an environmental engineer who worked as an independent contractor on federal cleanup projects. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Dryden, and his two sisters, Renee Roe (husband Chris) and Georgia Collins. He is predeceased by his father, Winton Collins. He had several nieces and nephews. Jim Harkins III, Jaime Harkins (and husband Blake), Bailey Bolt (and husband Stephen), and Ian Roe, Paige Millirons (and husband Ricardo Ortiz), Peyton Millirons (and wife Kailee), Paicey Millirons, and Kensey Randall. Gary has a great-niece, Lyla Millirons, and two great-nephews: Wells Elkins and Asher Millirons.
Gary had a very special friend, Karen Hull, who was a faithful and supportive companion for many years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed being on the water, whether fishing and boating or enjoying the beach.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Centennial Methodist Church Cemetery. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com.
