Gerald E. Faircloth

September 16, 1943 – July 4, 2026

Gerald E. Faircloth, 82, of Port Saint Joe, Florida, and At Ease Campground, Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Gerald was born on September 16, 1943, in Turner County to the late Woodrow Wilson and Edna Millie Anderson Faircloth. He retired from Civil Service, having worked at Eglin Air Force Base. He also served his country with honor in the United States Army. Gerald was a nature lover and enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved bird watching and was an excellent photographer. Gerald was also an avid Georgia Tech Yellowjackets fan and loved cheering on his favorite team.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Brenda Cooper Faircloth of Port Saint Joe, Florida; sisters, Beverly Shippey of Albany, Nancy Wooten of Ashburn, and Kay Nettles of Morven; grandchild, Jessica (Allen) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jaymie Ketcherside, Joani Ketcherside, and Anthony Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Faircloth, and a brother, Jimmy Faircloth.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
