Evelyn Jeanette “Sissy” Love

May 8, 1959 – January 14, 2024

Evelyn Jeanette Love, “Sissy”, born May 8, 1959, in Anniston, Alabama to Jack Holcombe and Doris Lambert, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on January 14, 2024.

Sissy is remembered for being spunky and energetic and treasured taking care of her family and friends in many ways. She enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, cutting grass, tending to her chickens and donkeys, and working on her tan. She was always in the kitchen cooking something, but her enchiladas were the crowd favorite. She enjoyed arts and crafts and making things for her family and friends. She loved to crochet and sew. She has made many quilts, blankets, headbands, macrame baskets, and dream catchers. Every Christmas she would make handmade gifts; they were the most special. She enjoyed camping and trail riding with her kids and grandkids. She was always prepared for a natural disaster. She also loved music and always had a radio on in most every room of her home. Last but not least she loved her tattoos and was covered from head to toe.

She is survived by the love of life, her husband of 48 years, Arthur “Dee” Love of Bainbridge; her three sons, Wayne Holcombe (Nikki), Robert Love, and Arthur Love (Chat); her grandkids, Dustin, Marcus, Austin, Dalton, Ethan, Tristan, Carson, Albren, Gunner, and Josie; her nine great-grands; and a host of close family and friends. She is also survived by her sidekick of 12 years, her cockatoo, “Sinbad”. Sissy was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Doris and Paw “Jabo” Lambert; her father, Jack Holcombe; her daughter, JJ Love; and her granddaughter, Amber Sky Love.

The family will host a celebration of life at a later date. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.bryantfuneralga.com. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
