Joana Sue Hollingsworth, age 67, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023.
The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Moore officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.
Sue was born September 27, 1956, in Camilla, Georgia, the daughter of Leroy Trotman and Ester Fleetwood. She graduated from Cairo High School with the class of 1975. She worked at Leland Barrineau’s Florist in Cairo, GA, and Singletary’s Florist in Thomasville, GA, for over 15 years. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and also attended Family Worship Center in Cairo, GA. Sue loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in this world. She loved gardening and enjoyed watching her son cook. Sue studied her Bible and loved doing her daily devotional. She adored her dog and her cats.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Hollingsworth; children, Scott Barrineau and Leann Barrineau; grandchildren, Mallorie Barrineau, Walter Pearce, Triston Barrineau, Chloe Rogers, Taylor Barrineau, Khia Futch, and Tony Futch; 3 great- grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Maddie McAlpin (Jack), Alicia Yates (Russell), and Leroy Trotman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Olivia Simpson, Bobby Trotman, and Timothy Ezell.
The Hollingsworth family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
