Florence Katherine Reyes, age 75, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services to honor Mrs. Reyes will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Florence Katherine Genovar Reyes was born May 22, 1948, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Harry Lee Genovar and Hazel Pope Genovar. She was raised and completed high school in the Miami area. She married the love of her life, John Alfred Reyes, who has preceded her in death. Florence worked at the Charter House Restaurant for many years and was manager of Hardees for 11 years. Flo loved to watch television. It did not matter how often they were shown, she repeatedly watched her favorites, the Lord of the Rings, Twilight, and Fast and Furious movies.
Florence Reyes is survived by her children, Lori Ritter, Lisa Reyes, both of Bainbridge, and Johnny Reyes of Colquitt; sister, Ginny Mullis (Danny) of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Katie Whitaker, Trace Haywood, Jonathan Reed, Justin Ritter, Josie Ritter, Jalen Reyes, Jonah Reyes, and Joslyn Reyes; great-grandchildren, Kendall Whitaker, Carter Godwin, and Bo Allen Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Edward and Harry Lee Genovar.
