William Stuart Barfield, 61, of Albertville, AL, formerly of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023.

William Stuart Barfield was born December 11, 1961, in Albany, GA, the son of Larry & Billie Gilliam Barfield. He lived the last few years in Albertville, but Bainbridge was always “home”. William was Baptist by faith.
William was that guy who could take anything apart AND put it back together. Not only was he a great mechanic, but he could also build just about anything with wood. There was never a project William wouldn’t tackle and only a few that seemed to get the best of him. Fishing was a favorite pastime, second only to tinkering in the shop. William retired after spending years on the road as a truck driver.
Survivors include his son, William Allen Barfield of Traverse, MI; his mother, Billie Heard; his siblings, Linda Brown and Brenda Strickland (Grant) all of Bainbridge, and Pete Ellis of Tampa, FL; and his five grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his father, Larry Barfield.
