Waylon Clarence Moye was born July 27, 1974, to Cecil Jackson Moye and Ophelia Mills Moye. Waylon was cherished by his family. He lived his life knowing everyone he met would be his friend. His caring, honest demeanor, and genuine excitement for every new experience ensured that he lived a life filled with good friends and grand adventures. In 1996, Waylon became a proud graduate of Cairo High School. Friday nights he could often be found cheering for his favorite football team, the Cairo Syrupmakers, with his mother Ophelia. He loved football and, along with his Syrupmakers, he also supported the Georgia Bulldogs. Bobby Bowden and the Florida State Seminoles were a top pick of Waylon’s, as long as they were winning! Waylon loved to watch the Andy Griffith Show, Gunsmoke, and Little House on the Prairie. He was a member of the Church of Christ and loved to visit his church family at every opportunity. Waylon had the ability to lift the sweetest, most heartfelt prayers. He loved to sing. When it comes to singing, he was the number one fan of George Strait. He even liked being called George, insisted actually. All who knew Waylon were blessed by his presence and his deep love for all his friends and family. George will be dearly missed by his family and many, many friends.
