Joyce was born on February 19, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Augusta and William Krug. Joyce was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Lawson Muggridge. Joyce worked as a volunteer in the school system, assisting students with learning disabilities and teaching religious instruction. She loved God deeply and was an active member of Solid Rock Church. Her family is eternally grateful for all of their love and support this past year.

Our family is very thankful for the time and love shown by the staff at the Archbold Cancer Center and the Archbold Medical Center, in Thomasville. Special thanks to Dr. Amanda May and her staff for their dedication and support to not only Mom, but her entire family.

Joyce loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She loved her family and her home more than anything. Joyce is survived by her eight children: Valarie Wornian of Baldwin Harbor NY, Vanessa Valot of Glendale NY, George Valot of Bartonsville PA, Darren Valot of Middle Village NY, Brian Valot of Howard Beach NY, Steven Hutter of Ridgewood NY, Dawn Hutter of Cairo GA and Craig Hutter of Ridgewood NY. As well as her 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Joyce’s passion for creating charming surroundings inspired her to paint, repair, construct, garden and beautify any chance she got. She loved to drive and appreciated all the beauty in our country. Joyce, with all the ups and downs in her life, maintained her beauty and took the time to look good – even if just going to 3 Squares Diner for her daily coffee. She had a nurturing spirit that always wanted to make others happy. Joyce was very loved by many and will be missed terribly.

GRATITUDE UNLOCKS THE FULLNESS OF LIFE. IT TURNS WHAT WE HAVE INTO ENOUGH AND MORE.    IT TURNS DENIAL INTO ACCEPTANCE, CHAOS TO ORDER, CONFUSION TO CLARITY. IT CAN TURN A MEAL INTO A FEAST, A HOUSE INTO A HOME, A STRANGER INTO A FRIEND. GRATITUDE MAKES SENSE OF OUR PAST, BRINGS PEACE FOR TODAY AND CREATES A VISION FOR TOMORROW.

On-line condolences may be sent at www.coxfuneral.net. Cox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
