Mr. Jeffery Spears, age 61, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, in the Attapulgus City Cemetery, Attapulgus, Georgia. The Rev. Jerry Bishop will officiate.
Jeffery Spears was born November 7, 1961, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to Jeff Spears and Frances Elizabeth Bane Spears. He was raised in Attapulgus. At 17 years of age Jeffery joined and proudly served in the U.S. Marines Corp. He was a member of Attapulgus Baptist Church and worked at BASF. Jeffery was a good son and a good brother and worked hard at being a great uncle. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He loved to watch Westerns. Jeffery had a happy disposition even in the bad times. His love for his family and the smile on his face will be missed by his family and friends.
Jeffery Spears is survived by his siblings, Elcie Brown of Attapulgus, Jeanette Norris (Preston) of Bainbridge, Doris Spears Gay of Attapulgus, Carol Nelson (Dan) of Climax, Georgia, and James Richard Spears (Cindy) of Bainbridge, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jimmie Lee Spears.
