Vickie Nell Grantham Brown, age 68, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023.
The Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private interment will be at West Bainbridge Cemetery. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.
Mrs. Brown was born June 24, 1955, in Opp, Alabama, the daughter of Billy Joe Grantham and Sammie Nell Grantham. She graduated from Elba High School with the class of 1973. Vickie worked in healthcare in Elba and Bainbridge. She attended First Baptist Church of Elba. She loved her dogs and especially her Georgia Bulldogs. She was a wonderful mother, Mamaw, Vivi, and Mawmaw. She never missed her invitation to a fish fry. Vickie loved her family and would protect them at all costs. The family would like to give a special thanks to her neighbors Odell and Christine Washington, The Manor, and Dr. Sydney Cochran.
Survivors include her son, Blake Boutwell of Ft. Hood, TX; step-children, Kerri Gardner (Ashley) and Bobby Brown (Lori), both of Bainbridge, GA; daughter-in-law, Sarah and Jeremy Farr; grandchildren, Jaxson Boutwell, Brock Boutwell, Abigail Gardner, Curtis Brown (Morgan), and Alissa Brown; great grandchild, Avery Brown; brothers, Billy Grantham (Ramona), Joseph Grantham (Teresa), both of Elba, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Curtis Brown and parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bainbridge Decatur Humane Society.
