Dorothy Lee Fielding Covington, age 78, of Donalsonville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023.
The Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery with President Gil Valter officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com. Dot was born April 3, 1945 in Ochlocknee, Georgia the daughter of Henry Wallace Fielding and Eunice Leona NeSmith. Dot worked at the Seminole County Health Department for several years. She attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Bainbridge. Dot loved caring for others, she dedicated her life to the service of her children and grandchildren. She was a neighborhood mother to anyone that needed help. She was kind and giving, and loved nature. Dot loved cooking and caregiving for not just her family, but anyone that needed a meal or a pound cake. She will be deeply missed by her family and all her friends that she cared for.
Survivors include her children, Davie Bruce Covington (Kathy) of Donalsonville, GA and Cherl Covington Belisle (Walter) of Donalsonville, GA; grandchildren, Tyler Belisle, Anna Belisle, and Sara Belisle; siblings, David Fielding, Sr. (Margaret), Marie Hall, Wanda Parker, Henry Fielding (Sally), Craig Fielding (Theresa), and Diana Fielding; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bruce Covington and her parents.
The Covington family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
