Henry Dewayne Brock was born June 2, 1957, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Hubert & Annie Lou Boutwell Brock. Dewayne worked his entire life as a welder. He was Baptist by faith.

Dewayne was a simple man. “Happy place” means different things to different people. For Dewayne, that place was his back porch. He spent hours after retirement shooting the breeze with whomever stopped by for a visit. James and Dewayne have solved many of the world’s problems on that same porch. He loved the outdoors, fishing, dove hunting, and even served for a number of years as a guide on Lake Seminole. NASCAR and Georgia football could capture the attention of Dewayne and Blake on any given Saturday or Sunday. Dewayne loved his family and credited his grandchildren for the joy in his heart.

Survivors include his son, Blake (Tabitha) Brock; his grandchildren, Emily & Grayson; the love of his life, Janet Brock; his siblings, Coleman & Wynelle Brock, Jean & Harold Silas, Cathy & Doug Moore, and Robbie Brock; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dewayne was preceded in death by his brother, James Brock.

Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
