John Haven Maddox, age 51, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023.
The family will hold a memorial service on Thursday, August 24, 2023 beginning at 2:00pm at West Street Baptist Church officiated by Gregory Bruce. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com.
John was born September 21, 1971 in Dothan, Alabama the son of Robert Allen Maddox and Sharon Yvonne Newberry. John was a paint and body technician for Ford for 27 years. He loved grilling, working on cars, and watching movies. He loved restoring vehicles. John loved Westerns and Top Gun. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. John loved to cook so he could spend time with his family. He loved them very much and getting together with him at his house.
Survivors include his wife, Nicole Lynn Maddox; children, Allen Faircloth (Kelli), Adreanna Davis (Peter), Breanna Bruce (T.J.), Joshua Bruce (Natalie), and Brittany Moncrief (Devin); grandchildren, Dustyn Faircloth, Aubrey Howerton, Aidyn Fontenot, Peter Davis, Jr., Blaize Davis, Cole Huxley Bruce, John, Maddox Moncrief, Emilly Moncrief, and one on the way; siblings, Robert Maddox (Elsie), Stephanie McClendon, and Terry Newberry; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shannon Maddox; and daughter, Brittany Faircloth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ivey Funeral Home to cover final expenses.
The Maddox family has entrusted the arrangements to Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
