Iwana Sherrer Byrd, age 72, of Brinson, Georgia, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023.

Iwana was born June 2, 1950 in Cairo, Georgia the daughter of Harry Leon Sherrer and Myrtice Brown. Iwana loved to travel and shop. She worked for over 15 years at Engelhard in Attapulgus. She loved to go out to eat and go to Earle Mae Boat Basin with her sister.
Survivors include her son, David Allen Brogdon; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Callaghan and Linda Thiel (Michael); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Iwana was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ann Scott and her grandmother, Ola Scott.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spring Creek Church.
