Monica “Misty” Newman Lindig, 55 of Brinson, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, February 4, 2023 from the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home.
Ms. Lindig was born on September 14, 1967 in Dalhart, Texas to the late Ronald Douglas Newman and Penelope Marie Milburn Girot. She graduated high school and went on to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanics.
She was an avid gardener, filling her garden with flowers and hummingbird feeders – one of her favorite hobbies was watching the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed reading, collecting sun and moon decorations and jewelry, horses, fishing, and both riding and fixing boats. However, she would always say that her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and uncle, Gene Newman.
Survivors include her children, Jaime Lindig, Heather Lindig, and Dani Lindig; grandchildren, Killian, Trielynn, Rayne, Colby, Skyler, Haizlee, and Imogen; siblings, Jeff Newman and Brian Newman (Lori); nieces and nephews, Payton, Cory, Chelsey, Sophie, and Owen; Debbie Newman, as well as a host of extended family.
