Mr. John Henry Kemper, Jr., age 66, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Climax, Georgia surrounded by family. A service to honor John Henry will be held in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11. The Rev. Ryan Carnes will officiate.
John Henry Kemper, Jr. was born January 27, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana, to John Henry Kemper, Sr. and Esther Mary Murray Kemper. John was a fun-loving jokester. He liked to be with people having fun, listen to rock and roll music, and enjoyed playing drums. He loved to ride motorcycles and deeply loved his fur babies. John worked in construction before his illness. John Henry, John, Johnny, whatever you called him, was a free spirit that loved his family dearly and easily made friends. He will be sorely missed.
John Henry Kemper, Jr. is survived by his daughter, Shannon Sullivan of Tampa, Florida; sisters, Sandra Ray of Tampa and Darlene Hayes (Floyd) of Lakeland, Florida; brother, Ricky Neal of Dublin, Virginia; Brother-in-law, Robert Hayes, Newnan, Georgia; stepmother, Matrice Kemper of Odessa, Florida; stepbrother, John Reed (Sonya) of Odessa; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther Kemper; sisters, Brenda Hayes and Anna Blockland; and brother, Richard Blockland.
