Barbara Lowe Sapp

August 25, 1956 – January 11, 2023

Barbara Lowe Sapp, age 66, of Climax, passed away on January 11, 2023 at her home after an extended illness.

A funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Ivey Funeral Chapel with Bishop Phillip Kirkland of Donalsonville Church of God officiating. A time of visitation will be held for friends immediately following the service. A private burial will be at Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Barbara Lowe Sapp was born August 25, 1956, in Climax, GA, the daughter of Mr. Lawrence & Mrs. Evelyn Lowe. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and went on to earn an associates degree in technology from Bainbridge State College. Barbara had a loving spirit that always wanted to make others happy. She worked as a substitute teacher in Lowndes County & Decatur County. Barbara married the love of her life, Carl Sapp, who brought happiness & joy to her life for 27 years. She was an active member of Donalsonville Church of God.

Barbara was a loving mother, Nanny, & Christian. She was always the one you called on to uplift your spirits. She always loved to be around friends. Some friends would have called her the life of the party. Being around family is what made Barbara happy! Barbara loved music and took on roles in churches her whole life. Her last wish was for her kids, Nanny babies, “babies”(students at BHS), & friends to know she loved them forever.

Our family is very thankful for the time & love shown by Dr. Tripurari Mishra & his team (Leslie & Denise), Dr. William Swofford & his team (Ansley), Dr. J Sydney Cochran & his team (Addison) & the other 14 doctors providing care for Barbara at Baptist Health. We are also thankful for the time & compassion shown by Michelle Jones, Adaline, Gail, & Brooke. Lastly, our family wants to extend great appreciation to Jessica Chambless.

Survivors include her daughters, Tabitha Collins (Bradley) of Coral Springs, Florida, Chelsea Beasley (John) of Climax, and Jessica Lambert (Matt) of Climax; sons, Aaron Pearson of Cairo and Marty “Bubba” Sanders of Moultrie; brother, Larry Lowe (Nita) of Climax; sisters, Jean Vick (Robert) of Sopchoppy, Florida and Shelia Parker of Donalsonville; and grandchildren, Adron, Laurel, Dixie, Matthew, Cole, Emery, Emma and Leastyn.

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Carl Sapp; Loving mother and father; and her loving sister, Linda Sanders.
