Ray Edward Josey, Jr.

December 31, 1968 – July 25, 2021

Ray Josey, Jr, age 52, of Iron City, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 9, 2022 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor James Scarborough officiating.  Interment was held at Gainey Cemetery.

Ray was born December 31, 1968 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Ray and Linda Josey. Ray played football as fullback and linebacker for the Seminole County Indians at Seminole County High School. Class of 1987. He loved music, especially playing drums and being with family and friends. Ray loved vacations at the beach, playing golf and was an avid Florida State and Georgia football Fan. He loved his fur baby, Bo, that was always by his side and his protector.

Ray worked with vendors for Lance, Tom’s and Little Debbie Snacks.

He owned his own business as Josey Distributors for Little Debbie for over 10 years and was well known as the Little Debbie Man for Seminole, Decatur, Early and Miller Counties. He received several awards for outstanding sales with Little Debbie. He was called Little Ray by his family and childhood friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley K. Josey of Donalsonville, GA ; father, Ray E. Josey, Sr. of Iron City, GA; sister, Candy Josey Hawkins (Mitch) of Donalsonville, GA; granddaughter, Jacey; and special niece, Amber Hawkins Willis (Trevor).

Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Linda N. Josey.
