Waymon Darryl Heard, age 60, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022.
The visitation will be held at 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Gary Smith officiating and Jon Dobbel, Allen Daniels, Greg Calhoun, James Ard, Mark Cannon, and Kaleb Crews serving as active pallbearers.

Darryl was born December 7, 1961 in Bainbridge, Georgia the son of Waymon Calvin Heard and Clara Nell Brooks Heard. He was an avid outdoorsman. Darryl loved hunting, fishing, and being outside. His pride and joy were his daughter and his five grandchildren. He never missed a ballgame of his daughters. A day never went by without him checking in on his grandchildren. He was the world’s best “Ampi.” He loved his dogs, Simba and Jack, his constant companions. Darryl had lifelong friends with which he worked and enjoyed spending time.
Survivors include children, Derrick Edward Crews of Augusta, GA and Emma Heard Dobbel of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Kaleb Edward Crews, Makayli Brianne Crews, Waymon Jase Dobbel, Rylee Ann Dobbel, and Dalton Wayne Graham; brother, Jimmy Heard of Bainbridge, GA; and two nephews.
Darryl was preceded in death by his parents.
