Jimmy Leon Glover was born May 18, 1944, in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Leland & Louville Faircloth Glover. He attended Mt. Pleasant High School. Jimmy married Sandra Logan in 1979, and they made their home in the Vada community. He was a member of New Home No. 2 Free Will Baptist Church.

Jimmy was a card-carrying member of the “Grumpy Old Men” Club. He freely spoke his mind and pretty much didn’t care if you agreed with him. Jimmy enjoyed spending time with his family, mud bogging, drag racing, and riding horses. If food is truly the way to a man’s heart, then all you needed was a cheeseburger to win him over.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sandy Logan Glover; his children, Jimmy Glover, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Shawn Ingham, and Shad & Ashley Glover, all of Climax; his grandchildren, Jessica & Blake, Christian & Kennedy, Shawn & Sholey, Kayleigh & Josh, Hailey, and Logan; his great-grandchildren, Harlie, Emma, Lizzie, Kayden, Kinsley, Braylee, Westyn, Preslee, and Kain; his uncle, Buck Glover; his aunt, Joyce Kirkland; and his very special uncle, Gordon Faircloth. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.

Bryant Funeral Home, located at 105 N. Florida Street, is assisting the family with arrangements. (229-246-3321)
