There’s a theory as to how life began on planet earth that goes something like this. – “Since there are small single cell microorganisms in earth’s atmosphere, near spewing volcanoes in the ocean’s floor, in Antarctica, in a mine two miles deep in Africa, and it’s assumed there are single cell microorganisms on the surface of Mars or possibly under its surface, and that as some believe, life on earth began with a single cell, then it’s just possible and likely that that single cell that began life on planet earth came from Mars; and we on earth then have the DNA of Martians and are all Martians.”
But has there ever been and is there now life on other planets? Well, here are the facts from our final authority, the Bible.
The apostles Paul and John write there’s life only in “heaven”; where the saints abide with God; “in the earth” where we presently reside; and “under the earth” the place referred to as Hell (Phil. 2: 10; Rev. 5: 3, 13). (Now you know with certainty where Hell is.)
Paul also writes about only two bodies. He writes in 1 Corinthians 15:40, that there is a “terrestrial” body which is an earthly or natural body made of the earth, and a “celestial” body, which is the heavenly or glorified body the Christian receives when they go to Heaven. Paul does not mention any extraterrestrial body or extraterrestrial beings, because they do not exist. If they did, God would have mentioned them to Paul. The only creatures that might be thought to have extraterrestrial bodies are angels and demons. Furthermore, the redeemed, that is, the saved, are said to come only from the inhabitants of earth, out of “every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” but not from every planet (Rev. 5: 9; 14: 6).
Satan is a space traveler and can move throughout the universe if he so desires. But he himself admits that his whole sphere of evil operation is on planet earth (Job 1: 7; 2: 2; 1 Peter 5: 8).
Earth is God’s sphere of holy operation. Jesus left Heaven and came to earth to save mankind from their sin and Hell. Jesus died on Calvary, buried in an earthen tomb, arose from the dead and ascended back to the Father in Heaven. He’s coming to earth again to take back to Heaven, and not some planet in the universe, those who trusted Him as Savior. They’ll exchange their terrestrial bodies for a celestial body and travel from earth to Heaven in a moment of time (1 Thess. 4: 13-18; Phil. 3: 20, 21).
Planet earth from outer space appears to be the size of a pen point. But on this planet and this planet only, the war of good and evil has been fought for centuries. Everyone in Heaven and Hell came from planet earth.
Ufology is a religion with many sects founded on supposed sightings of UFOs and messages presumably received from aliens from outer space. Many probe the heavens and the sciences for answers to life’s questions instead of looking in the Bible. A technological savior (Satan the Antichrist) is what this technological world is looking for; not a theological Savior (Jesus the Christ). Because all the intergalactic messages supposedly received from space aliens contradict the Word of God and show a hostility to Christianity, it would be safe to say that the UFO phenomena is nothing but satanic powers working to deceive (2 Thess. 2: 9 Mt. 24: 24).
Man from the beginning of time has attempted to fill the God-shaped void within his being, and the mysterious and often misunderstood phenomena surrounding UFO sightings provide ample material to draw from.
The only true “aliens” (Psalm 69: 8) are those who are saved and sanctified, whose “conversation” (Phil. 3: 20) or citizenship is in Heaven, their home in outer, outer space (Rev. 21: 9-27).
