William Casey Shuman of Bainbridge Georgia passed away at his residence Monday, June 27, 2022. Casey was born on January 7, 2000, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to Darrell Shuman and Paula Rowe Shuman. Casey is survived by his Father Darrell (Sharon) Shuman of Lyons GA, Mother Paula Rowe Shuman of Ocilla GA, sister Carly Shuman (Jarrod Ross) of Atlanta GA, brothers Mathew Green of Ocilla, GA, Jordan (Shana) Green of Tifton GA, Joshua Kelly of Tifton GA and Michael (Erica) Shuman of Dublin, GA.
Casey was……”was” is a hard thing to conceive when we think of the light and love Casey brought to so many. From a premature birth in which he was so small that he fit in his father’s hand, to transforming into the big personality of his young adult life, Casey made waves. Casey “was” genuine and creative. He embraced the weird. He sought out a life between normal and conformity. For that, everyone could see a part of themselves in him. He always wanted to make you smile, especially when you were low. He could identify your pain or sorrow and knew what you needed to find relief or a laugh.
Casey “is” a beautiful soul who colored the world with his sincerity and charm. Theatrical videos capture Casey’s knack for impressions, character building, and storytelling. His mark on his friends, family and the lucky stranger will continue making an imprint beyond his too short of a life. He “is” missed by so many. Our loss is deep and it hurts.
Casey lived life authentically. He was brave enough to find himself time and time again. We can honor Casey by doing the same. Live your truth and allow others to live theirs. Be weird, put on a hat, and bring some light into your world.
Casey’s life will be celebrated at a memorial at his father’s residence to be announced at a later date.
