On Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, at approximately 0953 hours, Investigators Garrett Wooten and Vincent Edmond were notified of a vehicle at the Dollar General in Attapulgus that was driven by a subject with a warrant out of the state of Texas. Investigators arrived and made contact with the driver, Sean Anderson. Anderson was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. The Warrant was confirmed out of Texas for Bond Surrender on original charges of resisting arrest and possession of controlled substance.

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 1042 hours, Decatur County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Deputies and Bainbridge Public Safety (BPS) Officers responded to the area on Highway 97/Faceville Highway near Country Club Road in reference to a law enforcement call for assistance. Decatur-Grady E-911 Dispatcher Lisa Leverette dispatched that a Georgia State Patrol (GSP) Trooper was at this intersection on a traffic stop fighting with someone beside the road. It was later learned that this was called in by a subject driving by the traffic stop. DCSO, BPS, and GSP law enforcement officials arrived and the offender, Joseph Mooney was takin into custody without further incident.

On June 04, 2022, at approximately 1108 hours, Sergeant Jordan Phillips responded to the area of East River Road and Albany Road, in reference to assisting Bainbridge Public Safety Officers with an incident. Sgt. Phillips was able to locate the suspected male subject running South on Albany Road. Sgt. Phillips and Bainbridge Public Safety Officer Xavier Brown made contact with the suspect, later identified as Thomas Douglas III. Douglas was carrying a large machete, a large knife, and a claw hammer.

Deputy Starling arrived on scene and made contact with Issac Cull in the front yard. Cull stated that while lying in bed his wife Carlita Williams attacked him. She came into the bedroom and hit him in the face with an electric multi plug power strip. The power strip shattered on his face cutting him.
