Phillips made contact with complainant, Donnis Bates. Bates stated that her grandson, Radel Sweet, hit her in the face several times. Bates stated that she did not want Sweet at her residence at 1307 Antioch Church Road.

On May 5, 2022 at 2242 hours, Sergeant Chris Jackson, responded to 256 Slough Loop Road, in Bainbridge, Georgia, in reference to an altercation involving a food stamp card. Upon arrival, Jackson briefly made contact at the residence and made sure no one was injured, before going to assist Deputy Dustin Harvey who had just stopped the offender, who was identified as Dewayne Logan. Logan had just left the scene, prior to deputies arriving at the residence.

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at approximately 1229 hours, Deputy Dustin Harvey responded to the intersection of John Sam Road and Dothan Road, inreference to a Possible Theft. Upon arrival, Deputy Harvey made contact with the complainant, Cody Moore. Cody stated that he was driving Eastbound on Dothan Road when he noticed a truck at the irrigation lay down area and called Greg Calhoun to see if anyone was supposed to be removing any items. Cody stated that no one was supposed to be in that area and circled back. Cody drove up to the truck identified as a Gray Nissan Titan and seen a white male later identified as Bryan Harrell trying to load a blue power box into his truck.

On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at approximately 2218 hours, (Cpl.) Corporal Timothy Fowler, (Dep.) Deputy Roddrick Murphy and (Dep.) Deputy Vontrail Fletcher responded to the area of Wrights Mobile Home Park, 2729 Belcher Lane, in reference to a white male subject carrying a baseball club and grey in color handgun. While on scene, Cpl. Fowler made contact with the original complainant, Joshua Pippins who originally advised Decatur Grady 911 that the male was possibly at Lot 13. Pippins stated that the male was in the trailer to the left of his residence. Cpl. Fowler walked back to this residence where deputies knocked many times trying to get the male to come out of the residence. After getting no response from the male inside the residence, deputies returned to service conducting extra patrol. While in the area, Cpl. Fowler was located at LaCount’s Auto on Old Whigham Road conducting a security check on the business. Cpl. Fowler could hear a shot being fired in the distance. Cpl. Fowler then heard another shot fired as he was coming to the intersection of Old Whigham and Belcher Lane. Cpl. Fowler advised Decatur-Grady 911 that he would be back in the area, in reference to Shots Fired. While patrolling the area, Cpl. Fowler received a phone call from Pippins stating that the same male subject was shooting through his house and to get back to the residence quick.
