Carrie Cox, Jr., age 75, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, April 1st, 2022.

The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, April 4th, 2022, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dewitt Phillips officiating. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Carrie was born Monday, June 10th, 1946, in Bainbridge, GA the son of Carrie Cox and Verdie Lee Cox. He attended West Bainbridge High School. He was an excellent auto mechanic who worked wonders with front end alignments. He worked at Sirmon’s Alignment in Bainbridge, GA for over 30 years. He loved to tinker, and he loved fishing. Carrie was a loving, doting husband to Estelle. He was a family man that loved hosting fish fries. He loved to go out on the boat with his wife and travel to the beach to cook for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Estelle Cox; his daughters, Teresa Avery (Matt) of Bainbridge, GA, Pamela Robinson, Bainbridge, GA, Penny Lee Cox, Bainbridge, GA, Linda Colvin (Henry) of Boston, GA, April, and Darlene Phillips of Thomasville, GA; his brother, William Nelson Cox of Bainbridge, GA; his sisters, Mary Blair of Bainbridge, GA and Glennie Gray (Bob) of Thomasville, GA; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Carrie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harvey Cox; his son, Durl Phillips; and his daughter, Nancy Phillips.
