Kemmie Plunkett Barber, 64, of Brinson, GA, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022.

Kemmie Elaine Plunkett was born June 1, 1957, in Vienna, GA, the daughter of Oliver & Ethel Young Plunkett. She grew up in Central Georgia and moved to Southwest Georgia in 1981. Kemmie was a member of Mt. Gilead Free Will Baptist Church.
Kemmie loved family and doted on her great-granddaughter. She was a terrific cook. Corn bread, dressing, and mac & cheese worked like a dinner bell to those in the area; they knew they didn’t want to miss out. Kemmie enjoyed music, movies, playing Candy Crush & Solitaire, word search puzzles, and reading.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandy Daniels (Stevie) of Brinson; her brother, Nolan Plunkett of Reno, GA; her father-in-law, Thurman Barber; her granddaughter, Lindsey Sandifer (Lucas); her great-granddaughter, Grace; and a host of extended family. In addition to her parents, Kemmie was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Larry Eugene Barber and her siblings, Louise, Lee, Betty Ann, Darlene, Charlie, John, and Billie Joe.
