Edmond was contacted by Dewayne Perkins, who resides at 2518 Old Whigham Road, Bainbridge, Georgia. Dewayne Perkins wished to report a Stolen Gun.

On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at or around 0929 hours, Lieutenant Patrick Trolinger along with Deputy Ariel Varner were located at 166 Bettstown Road, following up on a previous Entering Auto case which occurred at 182 Bettstown Road. Lt. Trolinger was walking around the back side of the cookhouse located behind the residence and located what appeared and was suspected to be a functional “homemade” alcoholic beverage/moonshine distillery. Ronald Hyatt was charged with two counts of Possession of Alcoholic Beverages upon which Taxes Have Not Been Paid in this state (misdemeanor).

On December 10, 2021, at approximately 0849 hours, Decatur County Deputies were dispatched to the address of 112 Arrowhead Drive, in reference to a Domestic. While in route, Deputies were advised that a male subject, Tyler Henderson, took a shotgun and left in a gold in color Toyota Corolla. Corporal Jordan Phillips was traveling on Spring Creek Road in the area of Fellowship Baptist Church when a gold in color Toyota Corolla passed him headed towards Barber Road. Cpl. Phillips turned his patrol vehicle around and attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle to identify the driver. Cpl. Phillips activated the emergency equipment on his patrol vehicle, at which time the gold Toyota Corolla began to accelerate, refusing to stop for Cpl. Phillips. Cpl. Phillips advised dispatch that the vehicle was not stopping and Cpl. Phillips was giving chase.

On Friday, December 10, 2021, Decatur County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Investigator (Inv.) Vincent Edmond was off duty and located at his residence. At 2248 hours, Inv. Edmond received a phone call from DCSO Chief Inv. Elijah McCoy. Chief Inv. McCoy requested Inv. Edmond respond to the area of Priest Road in Attapulgus, Georgia, in reference to a Gunshot Investigation/Vehicle Pursuit. Inv. Edmond ended contact with McCoy and later went in route to this address. Inv. Edmond later arrived at the location of a vehicle pursuit that ended on Priest Road near Doughit Road. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) Trooper Brandon Simerly reported that he chased a black Toyota Corolla on Highway 27 near Johnny Skipper Road to this location. Trooper Simerly reported that the unknown driver of the Corolla stopped the vehicle and ran into the woods.
