On Friday, October 29, 2021 at approximatley 0030 hours, Bainbridge Public Safety Captain Charles Strickland was patrolling the area of Tallahassee Highway and Alice Street in Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia and noticed damage to one of the crosswalk signals.
Strickland observed the crosswalk signal on the northwest corner of the intersection to be out of the ground and on its side. Strickland observed shattered glass on the ground around ii. Strickland suspected a vehicle struck the signal and left the scene of the accident.
Georgia Department of Transportation will be notified on next date of the incident. This case is inactive pending further evidence.
