Martha Martin, 68, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021.
The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen L. Webb officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Martha was born December 26, 1952 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Jack and Edna Nix Martin. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1970, and was the retired owner of Riverside Haircuts. Martha loved people as well as the quiet and peacefulness of fishing and gardening. She spent most of her time looking after her cats and enjoying the love of her life, Jimmy Johnson.
Survivors include her best friend and companion, Jimmy Johnson of Bainbridge, GA; her children, Toka Andrews of Bainbridge, GA and Toby Potter (Brandy) of Newnan, GA; her brother, Ted Martin (Bonnie) of Bainbridge, GA; her sister, Ann Martin of Sarasota, FL; her grandchildren, Anthony Hall (Abby), T. J. Andrews, Haley Potter Hester (Nathan), Mallie Potter, and Toby Potter, Jr.; and her 3 great-grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edna Martin; her sister, Faye Martin Wharton; and her brother, Tony Martin.

Martha this is smokey.you’ve been gone now over 4 years now and sadly I’ve never been able to come to grips that your actually gone.I met you in 1993 when you were working for Wanda Murdoch and I knew you were so special and time moved to 1997 and I seen you again at your own business salon m.in the days, hours ,months,and years that followed .you allowed me a opportunity to be in a friendship that to me to for once and the only time in my life to know love and to be loved by the greatest friend I’ve ever been blessed with.you shared,shown and explained so much to me about life,love and loss that I’ve never forgot or lost thanks to the special time we spent and shared together.greatest lady god ever placed in my life.I so miss you my friend.
