On Monday, May 31, 2021, at approximately 2014 hours, Inv. Gabriel Cofer was on duty and patrolling the area of Salem Church Road near the Climax Gun Club. Inv. Cofer came upon a black in color Honda Civic off the road in the ditch, and pulled over to check the status of the driver. The vehicle was found to be unoccupied. Inv. Cofer began to fill out an impound warning sticker for the car when a white male driving an older model Ford truck pulled up and exited his vehicle. The male, later identified as Terry Keith Phillips, approached Inv. Cofer and stated that the car belonged to 3 black males that were currently Trespassing on his fishing pond.
