Frank Monroe Spooner

December 12, 1935 – June 27, 2021

Mr. Frank Monroe Spooner, age 85, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Williamson, officiating. Interment at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at Ivey Funeral Home.

Frank was born Decatur County in December 12, 1935, the son of Love Spooner and Etta King Spooner. He lived all his life in the Bainbridge area where he fished and spent time with his family.

Survivors include his spouse, Mancy Pearl Spooner; step-son, David Shoupe; niece, Helen (Floyd) Gowan; nephew, Jerry (June) Weathersby along with many other nieces and nephews. Mr. Spooner was preceded in death by his parents, Love and Etta King Spooner, his brothers and sisters, Horace Spooner, Mavis Spooner Gary, Lola Hudson and Marie Holmes.

Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, Georgia 39819, is in charge of arrangements.

    I know I didn’t know you that well in the later years, but I love you. I had only wished that I had gotten to visit with you to talk about Granny (Lola K) and you could tell me stories of when you were all younger.
    Heaven gained a good man.
