The Southwest Georgia Tinsel Trail will be a festive display of LIVE Christmas trees at the Earle May Boat Basin in Bainbridge, Georgia. Intended to promote the spirit of Christmas and community involvement, each tree is sponsored and decorated by a local corporation, group, or family. What is the Tinsel Trail?

The Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees in the Earle May Boat Basin in Bainbridge, Georgia during the month of December.

Where is it located?

Tinsel Trail is located in the Earle May Boat Basin in Bainbridge, Georgia. The Boat Basin is a large outdoor boat marina that sits on the Flint River.

Who organizes this event?

The SWGA Tinsel Trail is organized by a committee of the Bainbridge- Decatur County Chamber of Commerce.

Who decorates the trees?

Each tree is sponsored by a local corporation, group or family, and decorated by its sponsor. Trees can have themes that match the company’s mission, or sometimes they’re just totally unique! Each tree has a sign with the sponsor and decorator’s names.

How can I participate?

Sponsoring a tree is a great way to market your business, boost employee morale, and just be creative. Visit the Sponsor a Tree page for details about our sponsorship program. Registration is Due by September 18, 2020.

Tree sponsor price is $200 for the regular 6-7 ft. tree or $500 for a 10 ft. flagship tree.

If you’d like to support our initiative, but don’t have time to decorate a tree just let us know and we’ll donate your tree to a worthy nonprofit organization.

What payment options do I have for sponsoring a tree?

You may choose to pay by credit card via our registration link. Registration is due by September 18th, 2020.

How many years has the Tinsel Trail been presented downtown?

This will be the SWGA Tinsel Trail’s 1st year.

When does the Tinsel Trail open & how long does it last?

Tinsel Trail will open on Saturday, November 28th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The last day will be January 5th, 2021.

Do I have to pay to attend Tinsel Trail?

No. This is a FREE community event.

What are the hours of the Tinsel Trail?  

The Tinsel Trail is open to the public daily until midnight. Trees are lit from dusk until midnight each night.

Where can I park to access the Tinsel Trail?

The Earle May Boat Basin has parking accommodations near the tree display.
