Jan Rose Hogard was born April 3, 1932 in Piggott, AR, the daughter of Oather and Pansey Webster Hogard. After high school graduation, she met and married Thomas E. McCullough and moved to “Bethany” in 1955. (Jan always thought Bethany was as close to Heaven as you could get.) She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Many will remember “Miss” Jan from the FRM Feed Store. While managing the store, she met many people who would become dear friends. After retiring, her favorite store became Wal-Mart, a place where she could look at everything and see plenty of people in between. Though she was very loving, Jan was pretty strict too. You could not get a thing by her. (Most times she knew what happened before you had time to come up with a story.) She kept the roads hot, usually supporting the kids in their endeavors with ball and band or taking the grandchildren to the movies. Jan was never idle. She either had a sewing project or yardwork waiting on her to get home from town.

Survivors include her children, Bobby & Betty McCullough of Attapulgus, GA and Felicia & Sam Pickenpaugh of Monticello, FL; her sister, Betty Stebbins and her husband, Bill, of Oxford, MI; her grandchildren, Robby, Greg, John, Jeff, Eddie, Angela, Brian, Corey, Will, and Wes; and her great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jackson, Emily, Amelia, Hunter, Conner, Brayden, Brynlee, Owen, Brody, and Caleb. In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. McCullough; her children, Tommy McCullough and Cathy M. Boyett; and her grandson, Scott McCullough.
