The Bible (KJV) says, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile” (Ps.32: 1, 2).

A majority is defined as “more than half of the total number.” A minority is defined as “less than half of the total number.”

The population of the world has always been divided into two groups and two groups only, the saved and the lost. There is no third group like there is in politics.

The Bible tells us there are two spiritual families’ on planet earth, Satan’s family (Jn. 8: 44; Acts 13: 10), and God’s family ( Gal. 3: 26; 1 Jn. 3: 1).

Of the two families, the majority, or more than half the total number are lost. The minority, or less than half the total number are saved. Jesus said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction (Hell), and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life (Heaven), and few there be that find it” (Mt. 7: 13, 14).

We are all born lost sinners and a member of the majority. We leave the majority and become a member of the minority through faith in Jesus Christ.

Even though lost people are getting saved every day and leaving the majority and joining the minority the church will always be in the minority, she will always be outnumbered by her adversary. She will always be a little flock.

Though the majority have the greater number and can have great power, the minority have the greater power, the power of God, to do the work of God among the majority (1 Cor. 1: 26-31).

Among the saved minority, there’s a smaller minority, less than half the total number, who is actually doing anything for God. The saved majority, more than half the total number, are serving self and the world.

The lost majority are under the guilt of sin and the condemnation of God and His pending judgment (Jn. 3: 18, 19). The saved minority has been blessed by God (Eph. 1: 3), the small minority within the saved minority, who are serving God, will receive even greater blessings one day (2 Cor. 5: 10). Are you in that minority?

“The smallest number, with God and truth on their side, are weightier than thousands.” – C. Simmons    “A man in the right, with God on his side, is in the majority though he be alone.” H. W. Beecher   “One and God make a majority.” – Frederick Douglas
