On Sunday, August 2, 2020, at 1534 hours, Investigator Vincent Edmond was off duty when he was contacted by Decatur County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy John Presilla. Presilla advised Edmond that he was located at the intersection of Highway 309 and Fountain Drive, with the Georgia State Patrol. Deputy Presilla advised Edmond that a vehicle had attempted to flee from a Georgia State Trooper and subsequently wrecked in the woods at this intersection. Deputy Presilla advised that the driver of the fleeing vehicle had been taken into custody and a felony amount of marijuana had been found. Investigator Edmond ended contact with Deputy Presilla and proceeded to the intersection of Highway 309 and Fountain Drive.
Investigator Edmond arrived on scene at 1600 hours. Trooper Jacob Sanchez advised Investigator Edmond that while traveling southbound on Highway 309 he clocked a red Ford sedan traveling northbound speeding. Trooper Sanchez advised that he turned around on the red sedan and it began to flee. Trooper Sanchez stated that while pursing the vehicle, he was able to clock the vehicle’s speed and stated that the red sedan was traveling in excess of 100 miles per hours.

On August 01, 2020, at approximately 2319 hours, Deputy Timothy Fowler responded to Tallahassee Highway South, in reference to a possible Road Hazard. Upon arrival Deputy Fowler observed a red in color, Kenworth Semi Truck hooked to a trailer, parked in the left turning lane, just North of mile marker eight. Deputy Fowler attempted to make contact with the owner, Desi Wade, who stated that he would get in contact with the driver to find out why the said vehicle was parked in the roadway. Deputy Fowler advised Wade that the Kenworth semi was impeding the flow of traffic by being parked in the roadway at this time. It is to be notated that while on scene Deputy Fowler observed the semi to have no caution signals or triangles on scene or in the area identifying the semi was broke down. Deputy Fowler then advised Wade that Deputy Fowler had Royce’s Towing in route to remove the semi from the roadway.

On August 01, 2020, at approximately 2327 hours, Deputy Jordan Phillips observed a vehicle parked in the Southern Automotive’ s driveway, running. Dep. Phillips parked behind the vehicle and made contact with the occupant, Henry Holt. Dep. Phillips asked Holt why he was just sitting in the drive way of Southern Automotive’ s, Holt stated that he was just eating. On call investigator Vincent Edmond was contacted and updated on what was found.
