On Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at approximately 0639 hours, Deputy Aaron Austin and Lieutenant Pat Trolinger responded to 1068 Zorn Road, in reference to a Gunshot Wound / Accidental Shooting.

On June 08, 2020, at approximately 1728 hours, Deputy Jordan Phillips responded to the address of 3135 Faceville Highway, in reference to a Burglary already occurred.

OFFENDER: DENNIS DOLLAR (ARRESTED)

On June 08, 2020, at approximately 2052 hours, Decatur County Sergeant Austin Spence, Deputy Anthony Stubbs, and Deputy Christopher Jackson were out the Decatur County Jail front parking lot, in reference to serving a Warrant on Dennis Dollar for a Probation Violation. Upon arrival Sgt. Spence observed Dollar being irate with Deputy Stubbs, and Deputy Jackson. Sgt. Spence exited his patrol vehicle and observed Dollar flee on foot through the parking lot and going up Airport Road. Sgt. Spence observed Dollar run through another parking lot and into a thick brush area behind the Jail.

Deputy Jackson placed Dollar into handcuffs, behind his back, double locking and checking for fit. Dollar was placed into the back of BPS Officer Davina Thomas’s patrol vehicle and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On Monday, June 8, 2020, at 1430 hours, Investigator Justin Bedwell arrived at 466 Greenshade Road, in Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia. Inv. Bedwell was at the location in reference to a Burglary. Upon arrival, Inv. Bedwell noted the residence is a remote EMS station operated by Grady Healthcare.
