On Monday, April 6, 2020, at approximately 1500 hours, Investigator Adam Mobley and Investigator Justin Kelly were located in the woods across from the address of 287 Hines Perkins Road, in Decatur County Ga. Investigators had a Search Warrant for that address and the resident of James Bennett Currin. Currin ran from officers and made escape into the woods. A search was conducted through the night.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at approximately 1130 hours, E-911 dispatched a call, in reference to a person limping behind the address of 148 Hines Perkins Road. Lieutenant Patrick Trolinger was first on scene and identified the limping subject as Currin. Lt. Trolinger took Currin into Custody without incident.

On Tuesday, April, 7, 2020, at approximately 4:28 P.M., Deputy Bradley Hanks responded to an alleged kidnapping at 2682 Belcher Lane. Upon arrival Deputy Hanks spoke to the complainant, Enoch Norris. Mr. Norris stated that the offender’s, Mandy Moxley, and Jeanette Norris drove into his backyard, driving a maroon colored S.U.V and took their child.

On Saturday, November 30, 2019, at 1940 hours, Deputy Chris Jackson, employed with Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, worked a detail at Dowdell’s 3850 Fowlstown Road, in Fowlstown, Decatur County, Georgia. While vehicles were exiting the parking area, Jackson heard a loud Scream and then observed a crowd beginning to congregate in the middle of the road way. Jackson observed a male laying in the road way. The male who was later identified as Marguavarius Owens, had fell out of his truck, injuring his ankle.
