SWGA Regional Library statement regarding COVID-19

“In light of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), we have determined that it is in the best interest of our communities to close the Seminole County Public Library to the public from Monday, March 16th through Saturday, March 28th, due to a suspected COVID-19 case in Seminole County. As of this date, the Decatur County – Gilbert H. Gragg Library and the Miller County – James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library will remain open regular hours until further notice.

If you currently have library items checked out, be aware that all of the libraries in our system will suspend fines until April 30. This suspension applies to fines that would begin accumulating from Monday, March 16th until April 30th and does not apply to fines that are already on your library account.

All library programs and public use of the meeting rooms at the Decatur County – Gilbert H. Gragg Library and Miller County – James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library are cancelled from Monday, March 16th through Saturday, March 28th.

Library patrons affected by closures still have access to free e-books, e-audiobooks, and e-magazines through RBdigital and eRead Kids at swgrl.org/ebooks. You also have access to our library website at swgrl.org, which includes a link to the Center for Disease Control’s tips on COVID-19. We will do our best to keep you informed if any further actions are taken regarding closures.”
