Sheila “Nannie” Downing Jenkins, 65, of Sale City, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
The family will hold a memorial service at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church at a later date.

Sheila Rebecca Downing was born September 19, 1954 in Brundidge, AL, the daughter of Palmer and Mildred Hudson Downing. She married Derrel Wayne Jenkins, Sr. and they made their home in southwest Georgia since the early 70s. Sheila was a member of Christian Fellowship Church.
Sunlight was a staple for Sheila. She enjoyed fishing, going to the beach and just sitting in the sun listening to music or singing. Family was always the hub for Sheila. Her children and grandchildren brought her much joy as she made special memories with each one. A good cook by the measure of her family, Sheila spent many hours in the kitchen to serve those that would sit around the table remembering days gone by.
Survivors include her sons, Wayne Jenkins, Jr. of Valdosta, GA and Robbie Jenkins of Crawfordville, FL; her siblings, Linda & Marvin Ellis of Brundidge, AL, Martha Hobby of Blakely, GA, Randy & Rhonda Downing of Bainbridge, GA, Sandra Smith of Bainbridge, GA, Diane & Stan Dean of Bainbridge, GA, Donna & Ernie Jackson of Blakely, GA, and Andy Downing of Enterprise, AL; her grandchildren, Halie, Courtney and Austin; her great-grandchildren, Mason, Parker and Dominic; her special friend, Rick Marchant; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Derrel Wayne Jenkins, Sr.; and her daughter, Shari Jenkins Andrews.
