David Dale (Buster) Powell

Mr. David Dale (Buster) Powell, age 58, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, at his home in Brinson, Georgia. Due to ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held in Oak City Cemetery. The Rev. Chris Humphries will officiate. Jason Hayes, Chris Hines, Philip Richardson, and Darren Deal will serve as honorary pallbearers.

David Dale Powell was born August 30, 1961 in Bainbridge, Georgia. His parents, Wesley Middleton Powell, Sr. and Betty Marie Alderman Powell, have preceded him in death. Buster worked at Flint River Mills for 40 years. He married his best friend and love, Belinda Dill Powell. Buster was a member of First Baptist Church of Bainbridge and the Memories Classic Car Club. He enjoyed hunting but loved to fish. The river, lake, anywhere! He just loved to fish. Buster had a great sense of humor. He was a prankster and gave great gag gifts. He was a patient man, who deeply loved his family. A good friend, loving brother, great husband, and wonderful father and grandfather, Buster Powell will be sorely missed by his family and many, many friends.

David Powell is survived by his wife of 22 years, Belinda A. Powell; his children, Davelyne Hines (Chris) of Thomasville, Georgia, Justin Green of Oro Valley, Arizona, Kayla Hayes (Jason) of Bainbridge, Nicholas Green (Elizabeth) of Buford, Georgia, Aubrey Powell (Aubrey Lynn) of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Ashton Hines of Thomasville, Steele, Knox, and Presley Hayes of Bainbridge, and River and Haislee Powell of Bainbridge; siblings, Wesley Powell (Kriss), Tina Richardson (Phillip), and Tammy Deal (Darren), all of Bainbridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Russell and Randy Powell.
