All SRTC campus locations and sites to close at end of business today, March 13

In light of the current health issues and concerns resulting from the coronavirus (COVID-19), Southern Regional Technical College is announcing that as of the close of business today, Friday, March 13, 2020, ALL SRTC campus locations and sites will be closed. At this time, the College is not aware of any presumptive or confirmed cases at any of its campus locations. However, to ensure the health and safety of the Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) community, all SRTC locations and sites (including online students and courses) will be closed Monday, March 16, 2020 – April 3, 2020. The SRTC administrative team has decided to move our scheduled Spring Break from the week of April 6 to the week of March 30.  Additionally, all college-related travel has been suspended for faculty and staff.  All faculty and staff are expected to report Monday, March 16 for a briefing, further clarification, and to be included in the decision-making process as it relates to their department or program.

We want to take this opportunity to assure students that we will be accommodating, as we are aware that this closure impacts all course work and clinical hours,” commented SRTC President Jim Glass. “Our Faculty and Staff will be working tirelessly to ensure every opportunity for the successful completion of this semester. The emergency management team is convening daily and will continue to develop answers, adjust plans as necessary, and communicate frequently.” All faculty, staff, and students are asked to remain diligent in checking their SRTC email and https://southernregional.edu/coronavirus for updates throughout the closure.
