Ronald Jerry Harrell was born March 20, 1947 in Colquitt, GA, the son of Harry Hartwell Harrell and Dixie Nalls Harrell. He was a graduate of Miller County High School, Class of 1965, and earned an Associate degree in electrical technology. Jerry served as pastor at Antioch Baptist Church and a funeral assistant at Ivey Funeral Home. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Jerry Harrell was a professional in the tinkering department. He had a curious nature and asked questions in a quest for knowledge. Jerry loved random information and often included these tidbits in his stories and sermons. He enjoyed digging into Scripture and sharing what he learned. Jerry was a people person with his favorite people being his grandchildren, and of course, his beloved Rose. He was a connoisseur of coffee and figuring new ways to “get out of work” as he often joked.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Rosemary Harrell; his daughters, Michelle Joiner Keasler and her husband, Billy, of Bainbridge, GA and Bridgitte Joiner Harrell of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Lynly & Chris, Chelsy & Josh, Tamara & Josh, Anna & DJ and Gabrielle; and his great-grandchildren, Brayden, Emma, Gemma, Finley, Addly and Everly. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Harrell.
