Ronald Jerry Harrell, 72, of Eldorendo, GA, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ken Cloud officiating. Interment will follow at Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery with the staff of Ivey Funeral Home serving as active pallbearers and the men of Antioch Baptist Church and Eldorendo Baptist Church serving as honorary pallbearers.

Ronald Jerry Harrell was born March 20, 1947 in Colquitt, GA, the son of Harry Hartwell Harrell and Dixie Nalls Harrell. He was a graduate of Miller County High School, Class of 1965, and earned an Associate degree in electrical technology. Jerry served as pastor at Antioch Baptist Church and a funeral assistant at Ivey Funeral Home. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Jerry Harrell was a professional in the tinkering department. He had a curious nature and asked questions in a quest for knowledge. Jerry loved random information and often included these tidbits in his stories and sermons. He enjoyed digging into Scripture and sharing what he learned. Jerry was a people person with his favorite people being his grandchildren, and of course, his beloved Rose. He was a connoisseur of coffee and figuring new ways to “get out of work” as he often joked.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Rosemary Harrell; his daughters, Michelle Joiner Keasler and her husband, Billy, of Bainbridge, GA and Bridgitte Joiner Harrell of Donalsonville, GA; his grandchildren, Lynly & Chris, Chelsy & Josh, Tamara & Josh, Anna & DJ and Gabrielle; and his great-grandchildren, Brayden, Emma, Gemma, Finley, Addly and Everly. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Harrell.
