New Books at the Library

Come check out the new books that we have for you at the Decatur County – Gilbert H. Gragg Library! Quantum by Patricia Daniels Cornwell, All the Forgiveness by Elizabeth Hardinger, and Catacombs by Mary Anna Evans are just a few of the books that have just arrived. Get these and more at the library today.


Read to a Dog

Bring your children to the library on Thursday, October 24th at 4:30 pm to meet Sailor, the Miniature Schnauzer and get started on our new Read to a Dog program! Please RSVP at the front desk or over the phone at 229-248-2665. Dogs are non-judgmental listeners, and reading to them can improve your child’s confidence and reading ability.

History of Halloween

Come to the library on Thursday, October 24th @ 6 pm for “Poisoned Apples and Tricky Treats: The Strange and Surprising History of Halloween,” presented by Dr. David Nelson, history professor at ABAC @ Bainbridge.

Closed for Staff Training

The library will be closed on Monday, October 14th for staff training. The library will reopen on Tuesday, October 15th at 9 am. You may still browse our library website at swgrl.org or our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SouthwestGaLibrary/ during closures.
