Larry James Ouzts

Mr. Larry James Ouzts, age 70, died in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 12, 2019.  Services for Larry will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 15, at Morningside Baptist Church.  The Rev. Jimmy Dean will officiate.  Kevin Cloud, Rodney Lambert, Wally Landrum, Brandon Horne, Jimmy Hardy, Larry Spooner, and Kyle Spooner will service as pallbearers.  The service will conclude at the church.  A private interment will be held in Roselawn Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00.

Larry was born March 13, 1949, in Cairo, Georgia, to A J Ouzts and Jewell Lambert Ouzts.  He married Susan Rich Ouzts.  He and Susan have enjoyed 48 years together.  Larry was a truck driver.  His family describes him as a wonderful provider and father.  He worked hard and, when he set his mind to a task, he was very, very determined.  Larry was an avid and accomplished hunter and fisherman.  He loved being outdoors and loved camping.  Larry Ouzts deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed.

Larry James Ouzts is survived by his wife, Susan Rich Ouzts; daughters, Holly Ouzts Burdick and husband, Timothy, and Lori Ouzts Brown and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Curtis Brown, Alissa Brown, Holden Burdick, and Zachery Burdick, all of Bainbridge; in-laws, Wayne Cloud of Douglas, Georgia, Craig Brock, and Kathy Smith and husband, Randy, of Cairo, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gloria Faye Ouzts Cloud.
