Larry Gene Morris was born October 20, 1949 in Camilla, GA, the son of Barney Jackson Morris and Ora Lee Keaton Morris. He graduated from Bainbridge High School and attended both Bainbridge College and Albany Technical College. Larry retired from BASF where he was a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of Delwood Baptist Church.

Larry loved working in his yard planting flowers and keeping the grass cut “just so”. He could work on anything that moved tractors, cars, boats and even a lawn mower every now and then. Larry had a heart for others and would lend a helping hand expecting nothing in return. Family was important and Larry loved to brag on them over a shared Dr. Pepper.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Virginia King Morris; his children, Holley Morris Roberts, Erick & Susan Morris, all of Bainbridge, GA, Ben & Jackie Morris of Dalton, GA, Trampus & Summer Resler and Terrill & Nicole Resler also of Bainbridge, GA; his siblings, Milton & Nancy Morris of Americus, GA, Billy Wayne Morris of Mulberry, FL and Bobby Morris of Bainbridge, GA; his grandchildren, Emory, Jackson, Blair, Devin, Samantha, Kayla, Tyler, Megan, Corbin, Cole, Sierra and Haley; his great-grandchildren, Leighanna, Braxton, Kaden, Colby and Jaxx; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Benny Morris and Crawford Morris.
