On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 0014 hours, Sergeant Garrett Wooten, Deputy Aaron Austin and Deputy Donnie McLendon were located at the Circle K on Shotwell Street. Deputy McLendon observed Shedrick Adams drive up to the gas pumps in a Mazda SUV. Deputy McLendon knew from a previous arrest that Adams was Unlicensed. Adams information was ran and came back as being Unlicensed. Adams was placed under arrest and transported to the Decatur County Jail.

On Thursday, 09/26/2019, at approximately 1410 hours, Investigator Terry Phillips responded to a livestock pasture located at 154 Smithtown Road, concerning a report of numerous dead cows being discovered on the property by an U.S. Department of Agriculture employee. Subsequently, Inv. Phillips arrived on scene and began an investigation into this matter.
