Daisy Janette Holley was born December 28, 1946 in Bainbridge, the daughter of John and Blonnie Clay Holley. Daisy was a life-time member of First Baptist Church of Bainbridge. She enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. Her favorite place was the mountains where she could breathe in the cool mountain air. Daisy loved the outdoors immensely especially when she was catching catfish for dinner. Even with all the traveling and fishing, you could still catch Daisy shopping all the sales at Belk during the holidays. One thing always stood out when it came to Daisy–her devotion to William. Daisy and William were high school sweethearts and spent nearly 55 years living a life filled with love and devotion to one another. Whenever you saw William, you better believe Daisy wasn’t far behind.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William Haire; her daughters, Lia Dixon and Amy Anderson, and her husband, Dusty, all of Bainbridge; her brother, Leslie Holley of Crawfordville; her grandchildren, Alana, Will, PT, Bailey, Briana, and Colby; and her great-grandson, Wyatt. In addition to her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by her siblings, Dave Holley, Arlie Clay, Buster Holley, and Louise Wimberly.
