Robert F. Glasier

Robert F. Glasier, age 79, passed away peacefully while praying, in his home, in Whigham, GA on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born June 8th, 1940, to Juliette Bacon and Robert Glasier of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
 
He enlisted into the United States Navy on December 9th, 1958; where he faithfully and dutifully served his country for 22 years before retiring on November 30th, 1980. After which he worked within the nuclear power and aircraft maintenance fields until fully retiring in 2008. Robert carried a very deep conviction to his family and his faith. He was quite fond of native American history and culture. He would often ask to be referred to as Crazy Horse.
 
Preceded in death by his parents, Juliette and Robert, and his son, Robert F. Glasier, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn R. Glasier, and his three daughters; Sheila (Timothy) Herendeen, Denise (Jeffrey) Edwards, and Ramona (Andrew) Robinson, as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
 
Viewing services will be held on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge, GA from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. His interment service, with full military honors, will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 22, Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.
